Do you have O negative (O-) blood? We need your help!
Anyone can receive O- blood products, so they are always in demand. This is especially true during emergencies, when there isn’t time to determine patient’s blood type. However, because less than 9 percent of the US population has O- blood, it is often in short supply.
The O- Pledge encourages those with O- blood to donate whole blood at least four times per year or red cells three times per year at Boston Children’s Blood Donor Center.
